數字顯示手持型折射計 / Digital Fiberoptic Refractometer (DFR)

We're Changing the Way you Look at Refractometers!

The new MISCO Digital Fiberoptic Refractometer is fast, easy to use, and incorporates the latest cutting-edge fiberoptic sensor technology.

Simply dip the end of the refractometer into a liquid solution, press a button, and the powerful Motorola microprocessor quickly displays a digital readout with computer precision. Automatic temperature compensation insures that fluids read between 0% and 50% (32% and 122%) are measured accurately.

The large LCD display is easy-to-read and removes the guessing associated with reading conventional refractometers. Gone are the days of trying to adjust your eyeglasses, while squinting into a small eyepiece, to determine where a fuzzy little boundary line crosses tiny scale divisions.

Non-Linear Temperature Compensation
Automatic-temperature-compensation eliminates the need for measuring temperatures and applying a correction factor when taking readings. Unlike traditional handheld refractometers that compensate in a straight line for only one fluid, the MISCO DFR can have multiple non-linear temperature compensation channels for different scales. Both the range and accuracy of the temperature compensation exceed any other refractometer available. What does this mean to you? More accuracy. Refractometers without temperature compensation simply can't measure up.

* FEATURES *

Dip & Read
The DFR is the first digital probe-type refractometer. Just dip it in a fluid, press a button, and get an instant digital readout. It is easier to use than a television remote control.
Choose Up To Five Scales
All MISCO DFR's can be programmed with up to five different scales per instrument. If you ever change your mind, send it back and we'll reprogram it for you. Select from the hundreds of available scales. If you don't see what you need we will make one custom just for you.
Fiberoptic Sensor
The DFR uses the latest State- of-the-Art fiberoptic sensor technology to measure the refractive index of a fluid. The sensor is protected by a sapphire window (hardest material next to diamond) and should last indefinitely.
Auto Calibration
Calibration is automatic and does not require the use of special calibration solutions, or tools. The DFR refractometer automatically calibrates itself to water and is ready to use in seconds. No more screws to turn and nothing to adjust.
NIST Certified Calibration & Traceability
The DFR is the ONLY refractometer that comes with a serial number laser-etched into the refractometer body to provide instrument traceability. Multipoint calibration traceable to NIST is available on request for all DFR's. MISCO calibration program provides full compliance with International Standard ISO 10012-1:1992(E) and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994. No other refractometer is put through such a rigorous calibration and testing program.
Built Tough
The DFR is built from a high-impact, chemically resistant plastic body. It is water resistant and designed to operate in demanding industrial environments.
Built In The USA
We are proud to build the DFR right here in Cleveland, Ohio. Home to MISCO for 50 Years.

Digital Urine Refractometer

The Digital Fiberoptic Refractometer (DFR) is ideal for testing urine specific gravity and other physical properties of urine. Each digital urine refractometer may have up to five scales including Brix and refractive index. Since the DFR is a probe type refractometer it is not necessary to bring urine near the face and eyes as with traditional refractometers.

The DFR is easy to use and will allow the user to test the urine specific gravity of a large number of urine samples many times faster than with a traditional urine refractometer. All refractometer readings are automatically temperature compensated regardless of the scale being used. Refractometers without temperature compensation just can't measure up.

Measure Ethylene Glycol & Propylene Glycol Antifreeze

An antifreeze is a substance added to a liquid to lower its freeze point. The freeze point is the point where the first ice crystals form during freezing. Ethylene glycol and propylene glycol are two of the most commonly used fluids for depressing the freezing point of a liquid. These antifreeze solutions are also used to increase the boiling point of a liquid and to increase a fluids ability to transfer heat.
The Digital Fiberoptic Refractometer (DFR) is ideal for testing the freeze point and concentration of ethylene glycol & propylene glycol antifreeze solutions. There is no more accurate field tester than a refractometer for measuring ethylene glycol and propylene glycol.
Scales are available for testing ethylene glycol and propylene glycol by percent volume or percent weight. Freeze point may be displayed in either degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius. Each digital refractometer may have up to five scales including Brix and refractive index. The DFR has five times the accuracy of the traditional MISCO 7084VP+ Glycol and Battery Tester and many more times the accuracy of a specific gravity hydrometer.
